Fear the Lord First...

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise." Psalm 111:10 (NIV)

"Choose instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies and nothing you desire can compare to her."

Proverbs 8: 10& 11 (NIV)

"Buy the truth and do not sell it; get wisdom, discipline and understanding. The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him."

Proverbs 23: 23 & 24 (NIV)

Train up a child in the way he or she should go and when he is old he will not depart from it-how true. I'm so thankful that when I was little, before I could read my mother let me look at the pictures in her Bible. I wanted to know the stories, so she took me to Sunday School.

I'm thankful for all the wonderful teachers I've had in and out of schools. They hold a special place in my heart. The great ones taught so much more than just book knowledge. Your love and kindness will always be appreciated!

I know the joy of my children's salvation! As a mom I consider their salvation one of my very best blessings from God! It's a gift even better than my own salvation, because I love them more than my own life. It's easier to live and die knowing one day we'll all meet up in heaven again.

Wisdom should begin at home. Where ever it begins, I hope you'll seek wisdom, grace and love in God, all the days of your life.

"My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." Colossians 2: 2 & 3 (NIV)
