Can you see how God pulls us closer to Him?

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed but not in despair; persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body." 2 Corinthians 8-10 (NIV)

"Therefore do not loose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 16&17 (NIV)

If you'll go back and read that whole chapter in Second Corinthians chapter 4 I know your heart will be blessed. Then if you'll flip over and read Hebrews chapter 11 you'll see how God, used and is still using people today to testify of His goodness and love. By faith are you saved through Christ Jesus our Lord. Faith is the beginning and stabilizer of our lives. He who began that good work in us, will see us through this life, through our mortal death and on to our permanent bodies in heaven.

Age and life are a beautiful thing! I was talking to an old friend yesterday. Ironically, we were not that close as teenagers, in fact, I felt closer to her yesterday than ever before. That sister bond in Christ was so evident. Through age and the circumstances of life, God has brought us back together, she definitely is my sister in Christ. The blood that flows from Christ Jesus is thicker than mortal blood. If you're blessed with biological family that also know Christ you've been heaped a double scoop of mercy, love and grace! Be thankful for all your family in Christ Jesus. We're here together to strengthen and build each other up in Him.

Looking back there were so many bumps or storms that were continually pulling my soul closer to Christ Jesus. :) I can say with my whole heart, today, that I Am Thankful for the Sour as well as The Sweet. I was born to live and glorify Christ Jesus my Lord. It's not about me, but about Him. But the love, joy and peace I've gained on this journey has been truly awesome it makes my heart melt like sweet Cinnamon honey butter on savory hot bread. :)

May God continue to do a good work in all of us until we can Hug Him in glory; til we get there lets hug and encourage one another.

"These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect." Hebrews 11:39 &40 (NIV)
