What Does God want from me?

God wants people who search for Him with their whole heart and soul. People who seek after God in this way will seek His will; God's gain becomes their gain. The happiest place we can be is in God's will. When we're out of God's will we're like fish trying to fight our way up stream-it's exhausting and ultimately unfulfilled.

Consider how Saul was viewed as king compared to David. "You acted foolishly, Samuel said. You have not kept the command the Lord God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time. But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after His own heart and appointed him leader of his people, because you have not kept the Lord's command."

1 Samuel 13:13 & 14 (NIV)

If we seek God every day through His word and prayer we will not fail. If God is for us who can be against us? God's advice is like tools or weapons arming us for our daily events. That doesn't mean we'll always choose what's right, but the right weapons for battle are there.

Keeping our life as clean as possible, through forgiveness, is also essential. God doesn't expect perfection, but we should be growing and going in the right direction. If you get on the wrong path, ask for forgiveness, and get back on the right road. The longer you wonder down the wrong path the worse you'll feel. Satan would love to make you feel like you've just gone to far to go back home, that's not how God feels. God always loves you and wants you back.

"What, then shall we say in response to this? If God is for us who can be against us?" Romans 8:31 (NIV)

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons neither the present or the future nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8: 37-39 (NIV)

God bless and keep you in His Love and will.
